HERSHE Plastic Surgery announced on the 7th that it has been designated as an Advanced Regenerative
Medicine Institution by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and has introduced MCT Metacell, an autologous blood-based program.
According to the clinic, HERSHE Plastic Surgery is currently developing research plans for regenerative cell procedures and treatments based on its existing patented stem cell technologies.
Recent trends in aesthetic medicine have been shifting toward approaches that consider not only the appearance of the skin but also its overall condition and recovery environment.
In line with this trend, HERSHE Plastic Surgery plans to strengthen its medical care system by introducing new equipment and providing a more systematic approach to managing individual skin conditions.
The newly introduced program utilizes the patient’s own blood and is designed to support skin management by activating autologous exosomes,
growth factors, ATP, and other components while taking the skin’s cellular environment into consideration.
Dr. Young Choon Jung, Chief Director of HERSHE Plastic Surgery, explained:
“MCT Metacell is a device designed to activate regenerative cells derived from the patient’s own blood and other autologous sources, allowing them to be utilized for various purposes, including skin regeneration and anti-aging care. One of the advantages of autologous cell-based regenerative procedures is the relatively low concern for immune rejection.
However, for safe treatment and management, it is important that the patient’s blood is in suitable condition and that there are no underlying cell-related medical conditions.
Therefore, patients should accurately inform their medical provider about their current health status during consultation and evaluation.”
