• Consultation Experience
The doctor was very kind, and I could see that he was attentive and thoughtful throughout.
• Surgical Outcome
It has already been two months since I underwent a Dual Plane Facelift and Double Chin Muscle Tightening.
Sensation around the outer edges of my face has not fully returned yet. Still, it has improved considerably compared with the first month, so I plan to continue monitoring my recovery.
Perhaps because some of the swelling has subsided, my neck and jawline look much more defined.
It still feels somewhat unfamiliar, but I am gradually getting used to it.
Now that two months have passed since surgery, I went out in a cheerful mood to browse for clothes and enjoy this new chapter of my life.
Before leaving, I sat at my vanity for the first time in ages and opened my compact, thinking I might put on a little powder.
Oh dear—the powder puff had crumbled with age, and the foundation had completely dried out.
I had spent so long caring for my lovely grandchildren without makeup, worried that cosmetics might rub onto their faces, that all my makeup seems to have gone bad.
If I had not undergone surgery, would I have thought about dressing up beautifully again? These changes feel like a gift of a new life at my age, and that makes me genuinely happy.
Another delightful change happened, too. At 65, I tried taking the kind of selfie that younger people take these days.
I had avoided cameras because I disliked seeing more wrinkles on my face, but I have now started taking photos of myself, just for me.
At first, I had no idea how to hold out my arm or where to look, so I struggled for quite a while. I even found myself a little funny,
and I felt shy and embarrassed that others might think I was being silly. Still, as a 65-year-old,
I found the courage to take photos from different angles with a happy heart. This is another change after surgery for which I feel grateful.
